Wahl Canada - TV Commercial Production Vancouver
Wahl Canada - TV Commercial Production Vancouver
Wahl, maker of grooming products for both people and pets, wanted to dramatically improve their existing TV spot in time for one of Canada's premier televised dog shows. In 2008, they approached PPG with the idea of producing a slice of life script that mainly targeted middle-aged women. Pacific Producers Group handled scripting, storyboarding, casting, shooting, and post-production...in a quick and cost-efficient tapeless workflow.
Fast-forward to 2011 -- and Wahl asked us our producton crew to create a second television commercial for the same annual dog show -- but one that would focus on the family, and how easy it is to groom an important family member like your pet. We decided to also use Wahl's pet seatbelt product in an interior car shot -- some of which we filmed with a greenscreen background, a Canon 7d, and a Cinevate slider - for a dolly shot inside the car), as well as some outdoor location shots that would showcase Vancouver's beautiful fall weather.
In 2008, Frank Brown, VP at Wahl Canada, commented: "In all key performance criteria, PPG performed at or above our expectation level. The cost of our production was extremely competitive, the input received from PPG was very helpful and contributed to a finished product to be proud of, the project was concluded on time, and the responsiveness of Pacific was second to none. I would recommend PPG without hesitation."
How about 2011? National account manager, Stephen Kay, writes: "From initial script direction and writing, to leaving all coordination of sets, talent and equipment to your expertise, made this whole experience pleasurable. We really appreciated your flexibility in accommodating our opinions, setting us straight when needed and being patient to get us to a place where we are VERY HAPPY with the end product. This is WAHL Canada's second production of a TV Commercial with you (my very first time ever involved with a project like this) and we/I won't go anywhere else in the future."
