Social responsibility and contributing back to the community -- through video -- can be a rewarding experience.
Pacific Producers Group co-produced and co-shot this public service announcement for Athletics for Kids. Written and directed by Tabatha Golat, the PSA gave sound rationale for supporting A4K, which puts underprivileged kids into sports programs, and was featured at A4K's annual fundraising gala at the Hollyburn Country Club.
Shot on the Canon C300 and Sony F3 over two days at Burnaby's 8-Rinks and BARAGA community Garden, the PSA also featured shots taken with a Kaiser Dolly - a new addition to PPG's equipment list. Videos from charities and non-profits might be eligible for free play on TV stations, and can be distributed to potential fundraisers via Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, and email campaigns. PPG was happy to volunteer its time and put together a talented crew, scout locations, and provide equipment and equipment insurance on behalf of Athletics for Kids.
A4K's Executive Director, Derek Mayson, commented: "My experience working with Shawn and his crew from Pacific Producers Group was one of amazement. I was so impressed with their professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail on our charity's video project. Shawn cares a great deal about the quality of work and graciously gives back to the community in which he lives."
